CWGC index record the War Grave of Capt Roy Livingston MACKINNON, MiD (2) , 4th Bn Gordon Highlanders who died of wounds on 15th April 1921 in the UK . Capt MacKinnon was only 29 years of age .

Today I received a email communication from Jesper Ericsson , Curator of the Gordon Highlanders Museum Aberdeen to say that Capt Roy Livingston MACKINNON , MiD x2 , 4th Bn Gordon Highlanders dof w 15 . 4.1921 has been accepted as a War Casualty of the Great War by the Trustees of the Scottish National War Memorial , the Castle Edinburgh this week . Jesper Ericsson thanked me for bring this casualty to their attention so that Lt Col Roger Binks , Secretary of SNWM can consider the file and thankfully Capt Mackinnnon has been accepted and is now listed in the Gordon Highlanders roll of honour at the SNWM the Castle in Edinburgh. ( the website will be updated in due course to record this entry on Capt R L Mackinnon, MiD (2) , of the 4th Bn Gordon Highlanders died of wounds .)
Capt R L Mackinnon, Gordon Highlanders is recorded on the National Archives re MEDAL ROLL ( WO 372/13/ 32867 )
