Country:United Kingdom
Locality:Aberdeenshire
Identified Casualties:59

Historical Information

The cemetery was begun in 1905. There is a special service plot in which rest all but 2 of the 61 Commonwealth burials of the 1939-45 war. The burials were mostly from the naval base at Aberdeen, 12 miles away, and from Kingseat Naval Hospital at New Machar. 3 of these burials are unidentified seamen of the Merchant Navy.

There is one 1914-1918 war grave in this cemetery and 2 non-war Service burials.

The cemetery is on School Road which lies to the east of, and runs parallel to, the A947 as it runs through the village

This is the smaller plot of Naval burials. The majority of Royal and Merchant Navy personnel buried here came from the nearby Naval Hospital at Kingseat.
