Additional Information: Son of Robert and Christina Lindsay, of Hellenslea, Sandy Rd., Renfrew, Scotland.

William Lindsay died in the Western Infirmary in Glasgow on 10th May 1919. He was listed as an enginefitter apprentice (army pensioner). He died of acute nephritis affecting the parenchyma of the kidney. He does not qualify for inclusion by the CWGC as his illness was not caused by his military service. He had previously served as S/28598, 3rd Seaforth Highlanders and had been discharged in December 1918.
