Four Boyle Brothers

The stone would have been erected to Private ROBERT BOYLE, the first man listed on the inscription as it bears the Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders insignia and he was the only one out of the four to be buried in Lambhill.

Robert (aged 26) married Agnes B. Honeyman (aged 24) on 12th June 1915 at 19 Howard Street, Glasgow.

According to the above Carpenter David (Alexander) Boyle's Birth Certificate, he was the son of John Boyle, Ironmoulder and Agnes Boyle (nee Alexander).
David was born 7th November 1867 at 33 West Russell Street, Glasgow.


Parents John Boyle and Agnes Alexander married on 6th June 1866 at Glasgow. (Information from son David's Birth Certificate).

The family can be found on the 1881 Cencus at 27 Shamrock Street, Glasgow.
