McGILL, DOUGLAS

Date of Death: 27/10/1917
Age: 19
Regiment/Service: Royal Flying Corps
Grave Reference: Close to North entrance. 1.
Cemetery: IRVINE OLD PARISH CHURCHYARD
Additional Information: Son of William McGill.

He appears to have 2 gravestones. The smaller one seems to be an earlier version and a new stone erected.

Memorial: THIEPVAL MEMORIAL
Additional Information: Son of Thomas and Jessie Duff Kinnoch, of 8, Lyndhurst Gardens, Glasgow.
Born: Irvine.

This stone is unfortunately the victim of vandals who have caused great damage within the Cemetery. The stone lies in 3 pieces.

This stone has been laid flat but at least the lettering is visible unlike several other War Graves within the Cemetery.
