CWGC Style Headstone in Cowdenbeath reads 'A tribute of rememberance from Officers, NCOs and Airmen, Jever, Germany'.
This stone gives age as 24, CWGC Website states age as 20. Suspect the Headstone provided by colleagues to the family in Cowdenbeath was erected in 1946 when his temporary grave in Le Culot, Belgium was permanently sited at Heverlee War Cemetery, Belgium thus accounting for the age difference.
Headstone in Belgium reads 'Loving memories of our dear brother John, may he rest in peace'.
