Location: Condorrat Road, Glenmavis, Near Airdrie.
Map Reference: NS 752 677

New Monkland Cemetery is the collective name for Ryden Mains, Landward and The Joint Cemeteries which are all side by side.

It also had a section allocated for re-interments and old stones re-located from Chapel Street Churchyard which was in Aidrie Town Centre and had now been re-developed.

The names on the CWGC are split into three: Ryden Mains, Landward, and New Monkland Cemetery (known locally as the "Joint" Cemetery).

We will list them in their separate categories. The first names are for the "Joint".

This will be followed by Ryden Mains, and finally Landward. After that, all the commemorations of burials elsewhere will be listed together.

This stone is very hard to read. It took a number of tries to get a legible photograph. I had to wait for the sun to hit it at just the right angle.
