Enemy aircraft attacked 953 Balloon Sqdn, RAF. Cardiff between 02.41 & 03.35 18th May 1943 dropping flares, incendiary bombs and high explosive bombs one of which hit the WAAF quarters killing Helen Brand, Mary MacAskill and Betty Stannard and wounding four others.

A photograph of Helen Brand’s grave – Section B. Grave 28 – would be greatly appreciated.
