The old kirkyard is located behind the modern kirk off the main road in the centre of the village.

INSCRIPTION READS:
'JOHN CLARKE
LIEUT. R.E.
YOUNGEST SON OF
WILLIAM NELSON CLARKE
DIED IN THE ZULU WAR
AT PIETERMARITZBURG NATAL
11TH JUNE 1879 AGED 24'
