Situated above Drummore and overlooking Luce bay the Churchyard and Cemetery are adjacent to each other and connected so can effectively be treated as two plots of the same burial ground. CWGC lists them separately.

I have included a few non-CWGC headstones but I didn't manage to cover all the rows so there may be others. Just as you enter and to the right of the churchyard gate is a small maritime memorial and CWGC headstones. The memorial is to the men lost in 1918 on the Steamships 'Rio Verde' and 'Main'. Rather than list the headstones alphabetically and separately I think it makes sense in this instance to list the 'Rio Verde' names first and all together.
Although it is off-topic for this forum this splendid headstone up behind the church at the top of the hill could not be passed without being photographed.
Unfortunately I couldn't make out the inscription, I think the date of death is the 1850s but it is a pretty faithful representation of the Mull of Galloway lighthouse just a few miles down the coast.

I take it the name plaques on the wall behind the graves were originally
grave markers?

As with many coastal cemeteries there are unknown seamen buried here. One from each world war.
The great war unknown seaman is buried alongside the 'Rio Verde' graves.
