I'm working on Hamilton West at the moment. I'll get this one for you.
Try doing a search of the forum as I think Anne Anderson has posted some of your Glasgow names. she's certainly covered one or more of those cemeteries.
Cheers,
David |

I should point out that the 2 Bannockburn men are listed on CWGC as being buried in ST. NINIANS (BANNOCKBURN) PARISH BURIAL GROUND.
This isn't quite correct. They are buried in BANNOCKBURN CEMETERY
St. Ninian's 'Parish Burial Ground' is the name given to the Churchyard adjoining St. Ninians's Church and although both are in the general area of St Ninian's/Bannockburn, aren't the same place and are nowhere near each other!
Just in case you were planning a visit

Hi Andy
I have now posted the Newton Stewar ones here http://scottishwargraves.phpbbweb.com/viewtopic.php?t=570 if you want hi-res copies, please PM me with your email
Dumfries St Michaels I hope to sort in the coming months
Stranraer Glebe - I have Thompson and will post it when I have found a missing one or two (a few weeks I guess). If you would like it sooner, PM me your email and I will send a hi-res copy.
Did you say what you were using these for? Sorry if I missed it.

I think I may have missed something here! I dont think I needed any from Newton Stewart, unless it is also called something else! and I cant see it for looking. They may be for a chap in Australia who is doing a thing about the RAAF casualties.
There is no rush for any of these, they are for a long term project. Please see my thread in the Introduction section!
Thanks again

Hi Andy
I'll try to get you a photo of Dalbeattie but I also noticed from your previous post that you are looking for Airborne personnel.
The Guy in Dalbeattie - Colour Sergeant Alexander Stark Syme - was killed accidentally in Shetland just before 7th KOSB was allocated to the 1st Airlanding Brigade.
Does this take him out of your remit? |

Hello Andy,
Special Memorial Paterson 3196528 7 KOSB 21/2/1944
My daughter took photos of this memorial. Anne got a copy so maybe she could help out. Otherwise I will post it to you if you can give me your email address.

Sorry - at the coo's tail as usual.
As Jim says, I have got Lora's photos - and this is a timely reminder that I forgot to post the Southern Necropolis stones.
Andy - If you send me your personal e-mail address, I'll forward a copy of the Special Memorial to R.W. Paterson

Back again Andy.
I went along to Grandsable Cemetery (Grangemouth) today to see if I could find the grave of Henry McLean Dowds but again, I couldn't find it.
I found graves numbered up to around 690's but couldn't find any higher numbers.
I'll drop Falkirk Council an e-mail and see if they can come up with anything.
Anne
P.S. There's another grave in Grandsable which I can't find either for exactly the same reason |

Did you ever find Dowds?
He is not in the section which goes to 690 but on the other side of the hill, who was the other chap?
