A total of 114 war-related burials are located in the New Cemetery, which lies in the Knab area of the town of Lerwick. This includes several Norwegian casualties - Shetland was the terminal of the Shetland Bus operation during WW2, when Norwegians would be spirited across the North Sea to Scalloway, 6 miles west of Lerwick.
