Cemetery: LONGUENESSE (ST. OMER) SOUVENIR CEMETERY

Sacred to the memory of Malcolm MacAulay, Chief Constable, Ross & Cromarty, died at Dingwall 2nd June 1905 aged 44 years. And his children interred here, Roderick William, ? . And his children interred elsewhere John Shaw (France) 1918, Marjorie (Edinburgh) 1953, and Malcolm (Belfast) 1957. This stone is erected by his comrades Ross & Cromarty & Inverness-Shire Constabulary.

Their son Alexander died 22nd April 1947 aged 55, interred Courtenay BC. Their daughter Margaret (Margie) died at Elgin 4th June 1967 aged 67. Their daughter Isobell Sutherland died at Elgin 2nd June 1978

Aneas Adam Maclennan, Swalwell, Alberta, Private, Canadian Inf. son of U MacLennan, Highfield, Farnworth who died 16th Aug 1918 form wounds he received at the Battle of Amiens 8th August. Buried in St Server Cemetery, Rouen. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them.

Also of his daughter Helen Katie (Nellie) who died at Fernbank, Dingwall 26th Dec 1942 aged 55 years and of his beloved wife Flora Isabella MacKenzie who died at Fernbank, Dingwall 19th Oct 1943 aged 85 years. And their daughter Flora I M Ross died at Aberdeen on 8th June 1966 aged 73 years and their son Andrew MacDuff Ross died at Evanton on 14th May 1968 aged 69 years.
