Erected by James MacDonald, Coal Merchant, Muir of Ord in loving memory of his son Donald who died 12th April 1909 aged 7 ½ years. Sadly missed and deeply mourned. Also Duncan who fell at the Battle of Arras 9th April 1917 aged 23 years. Also Elizabeth MacMillan the beloved wife of the said James MacDonald who died on the 16th March 1923 aged 61 years. And his son William P MacDonald who died on the 12th Jan 1924 aged 23 years. Also the said James MacDonald who died 29th July 1926 aged 69 years and their son John Alick who died at Melbourne 11th May 1955 aged 56 years. Also his eldest daughter Jessie who died 20th March 1963 aged 77 years. Also his youngest daughter Henrietta who died 24th Nov 1968 aged 78 years. Alice Margaret MacLean aged 79 years beloved wife of James MacDonald, Banker aged 84 years died 17th & 18th May 1970.

And their son Kenneth Sinclair McHardy died 17th Sep 1970 aged 56 years. Also his wife Elizabeth Bloxham died 31st May 1983 aged 67 years. Sgt James McHardy, 6th Seaforths killed in Sicily July 1943.

John MacKenzie died at London 24th March 1946. Alexander MacKenzie died at Blairgowrie 12th March 1952. Diana Younger died at Glasgow 20th Dec 1952. Ann MacKenzie died at Prestwick 1st March 1954.
