St Mary's Episcopal Churchyard, Dalmahoy
Lccation: Just inside the entrance to Dalmahoy Country Club, off the A71.
OS Ref: NT 145 690
Situated just within the gates of Dalmahoy Country House, St Mary's Epsicopal Churchyard is the burial Ground for the Douglas family of the Earls of Morton. They used to own the Dalmahoy Estate and built the church in 1850.
There are two parts to the burial ground. Outside the front door is the family burial ground for the Douglas family from 1850 to mid-20th Century. Around the corner is a plot for the 'common' folk. which can be seen in this photograph
There is a medieval stone in the gounds which I missed. I'll have to try and get back and get it.
Apologies for the poor quality of some of the photographs. They were taken in the evening when the sun was getting low in the West.
