CAPTAIN THOMAS McCLELLAN XXXIII MADRAS NATIVE INFANTRY
Died 17 October 1843 on board "Orestes" off the Cape of Good Hope.





SERGEANT THOMAS McCAW ROYAL ARTILLERY
who died on the island of Ceylon 18 April 1825 age 35 years.





This stone is in a very sad state but from a transcription done in the 1960's it contains the following:

JAMES RONALD LORIMER LT. 67TH REGIMENT
Died 4 May 1816 age 25 at Ambona on the return from India.
JAMES LORIMER MD SURGEON 67TH REGIMENT
Lost on board EI Co. Ship Lord Nelson on return from India November 1808 age 30.
JAMES LORIMER CAPTAIN OF MARINES
Died Spring 1807.

I never know whether to include inscriptions to 'wife of' or 'brother of' etc but I suppose that anyone researching a man could be interested. I have therefore posted them and leave it for others to ignore if they choose.

Relict of Lieut Gilfillan (relict is an old Scots term for widow)
