I was looking around for information on my Great grandfather Arthur Anderson Murray and came across this site and there is his headstone on P15 of this thread, so thought I would post more information, appologies if not what you look for, tried to take my steer from other posts:

Name: MURRAY, Arthur Anderson
Nationality: United Kingdom
Rank: Private
Regiment/Service: Inneskillen Fusiliers, 2nd Battallion
Age: 56
Date of Death: 5th July 1933
Service No: 7102
Additional information:Won the DCM and the Medal of St. George 4th Class.
Pte. Murray gained the Distinguished Contuct Medal an the Medal of St. George (4th Class) for distingushed Contduct on the filed. When all his officers were killed or wounded in the first Battle Ypres he took command of the company and carried one of his wounded officers out of the firing line under heavy fire.(Extract from Coatbridge and the Great War.)

Son of James Hunter Murray and Elizabeth Murray (Anderson)
Born in Coatbridge, was Biolermaker/Journeyman at time of enlistment working for William Baird and Company in Gartsherrie.
Cemetery: Old Monklands Cemetery, Coatbridge

I was in Old Monkland Cemetery recently and the groundsmen told me of a new CWGC stone.
There is already a posting on page 3 relating to this man, J.R. McCosh and I can now add the new stone to the listings here.
The CWGC stone sits at the top of the "Mound".

The family gravestone is spelt CRANSTOUN but both CWGC and SNWM spell Cranston.
