CWGC ENTRY: (Probable - discrepancy in dates)
Name: MANSON, JOHN
Initials: J
Nationality: United Kingdom
Rank: Sub-Lieutenant (E)
Regiment/Service: Royal Naval Reserve
Unit Text: H.M.S. Li Wo
Date of Death: 28/04/1942
Casualty Type: Commonwealth War Dead
Grave/Memorial Reference: Panel 2, Column 2.
Memorial: LIVERPOOL NAVAL MEMORIAL

Re date discrepancy:
Li Wo was sunk 14/2:
http://www.forcez-survivors.org.uk/biographies/listliwocrew.html

SNWM has 14/2 as date of death:
http://www.snwm.org/cgi-bin/db_w2.pl?function=view&id=474

this site says possibly prisoner of war:
http://www.forcez-survivors.org.uk/biographies/li-wocrew/manson.html

but is cwgc possibly just wrong? Stone wording shows family believed died in action, not as prisoner
