It appears from the reference books that I hold that he was not killed on that date in Fighter Command, or Bomber Command or Bomber Command Training Units. Given that he was buried in UK, it seems a possibility that he was serving with coastal command - their records have not been published for this period.
If you can find out what squadron he was serving with we might find something from that, otherwise the only way forward would seem to be for his nearest relative to apply for access to his service records.
