Regarding the Burt Family stone at the beginning of this thread, I think I have now solved the mystery.

The second man listed on the stone, whom I had wrongly presumed to be David Burt's brother, was in fact his step-brother.

Margaret Burt (nee Liddle), Andrew Burt's 1st wife and mother of David Burt died 1st December 1897 and within a year, Andrew married Barbara Laing in Falkirk.

On the 1891 Census, the Burt Family is headed by 32 year old Andrew Burt, Iron Moulder living at Port Downie (Camelon) and with him, his wife Margaret Liddle and 5 children.

By 1901, 42 year old Andrew and family are living at Union Buildings, Camelon with 3 more children and a 'Lodger' William Laing, who turns out to be Barbara's son.

William Laing, son of Barbara Laing married Elizabeth Robertson on 4th February 1916 at Falkirk. Elizabeth's address on their Marriage Registration being 15 Prospect Street, Camelon, which matches the address listed on CWGC.
