Erected by William Smith, Cromdale in loving memory of his wife Isabella McLean died 1939. Also his sons Alexander who died Aug 1906 aged 16. Donald who fell in action in France 28th March 1918 aged 19. Also the above William Smith who died 28th Feb 1940.

Lieut Colonel Lewis Carmichael. Born at Kinrara June 26th 1792 died at Forres Aug 8th 1844. Entering the Army in 1809 as an Ensign in the 59th Regt of Foot, he served his Country 34 years with distinguished honour. At Vittoria, San Sebastian, Nivelle, Nive and Waterloo he earnes the reputation of a zealous and intrepid Officer, and at the Assault of Bhurtpore for a feat of extraordinary valour. He was officially thanked by the General in Command Sir Jasper Nicolls. His efforts in contributing to restore order in Canada during the commotions in 1838 were daily appreciated and acknowledged by the local Government and by all the well affected in that colony. As a man he was kind and generous, devoted to the interests of his country. Beloved by his companions in arms. After a short but painful illness which he bore with christian submission to the divine will. He died in the hope of a blessed resurrection. This monument his sorrowing sisters have erected to an affectionate amd lamented brother. 1845.

Sacred to the memory of Peter Cumming. Anaboard who died 1st May 1902 aged 88 years. Also his wife Jessie Grant died at Anaboard 21st May 1912 aged 75 years. Also Peter Cumming, Camerorie who died 1st March 1895 aged 94. Also Sergt James Cumming 71st H L Infantry who died 7th April 1882 aged 38 years.
