Jim, he is buried in Ratho cemetery and the headstone is shown at the top of this thread.

Update:

After looking at the documents, Jim has very kindly offered to put John Laing Miller's case together and forward it to the MOD/CWGC.

I'm extremely grateful to everyone involved here. I'm sure Jack Miller's family simply weren't aware that he was not already fully commemorated, and without Adam Brown's initial query and photo and the input of everyone else in this thread, this might never have come to light.

250815 Cpl. John Laing Miller, Royal Scots has been forwarded as a case, on Jane's behalf, to CWGC / MOD as a non comm post discharge death due to service related causes ( Pulmonary Tuberculosis ). His details are now in the system.

Updates on this case will appears on the CWGC non comms sections of the War Memorials forum.

This was already updated on the Scottish War Memorials Project, but Jane might not have been aware of this.

John Laing Miller has now been added to the Debt of Honour Register.

As the case was submitted on her behalf, Jane was the first person to be informed when I was advised it had been was accepted by MOD on 14th January 2012.
