Hi Alec,

Yes I did eventually find him. The other chap who I also found was James Drysdale Dunn.

I got an-email back from Falkirk Cemetery Office confirming the WRONG Sections. In other words, they obviously didn't bother their bt's even checking.

On a day I was searching for something completely unrelated, there were gravediggers at Grandsable. I explained the conundrum and one of them volunteered to call the office. I also told them that the same office had confirmed to me by e-mail that the CWGC Sections and Lairs numbers were correct. Two minutes later, yup, you guessed ........ all of a sudden both of these men were buried in Section 13 and not 12.

I've since posted the photos with a subtle little note that the Sections quoted are wrong!!

To say I was a bit annoyed .......... Evil or Very Mad

A click of a mouse is obviously just too much to ask - I wonder how many other folk get told the same.

I also e-mailed them months ago about an man who had just been awarded (if that's the right word), CWGC status. Can't remember his details offhand, but his surname was Esplin/Esplen and had stayed in Grangemouth. I supplied his full name, age, address, next of kin and that he had been buried in Grandsable. Well, do you think I ever got the courtesy of a reply ........?

Anne

Hi Andy

If you are still working on this, perhaps you could give us an update of the ones you still need?

Apologies for not posting on here much sooner- but due to lots of things I have only just updated the outstanding list on Page 1, some have been deleted and some added.

My thanks to all who have assisted

Regards
Andy

Andy - O'Donnell in Riddrie Park Cemetery, see (Page 17):

http://scottishwargraves.phpbbweb.com/viewtopic.php?t=140&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=riddrie+park&start=240

With regards to Glenduffhill (Jewish) Cemetery, we haven't got that on the forum. I've been told that the entrance is kept closed and you have to make an arrangement to visit.

Whether that's the case of not, I don't know, but making an appointment doesn't really work as it could end up pouring with rain!

We also don't have Hillfoots (aka New Kilpatrick) yet.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.I can quite understand about the jewish cemetery, several in London are locked and an appointment needs to be made, I think it is because they fear vandalism. I know that 2 that I have visited in the past had staff in the grounds who I introduced myself to, before I started to take any pictures!

Thanks once again
Andy

Update on Glenduffhill ....

I popped along last week and was able to go in through wide open gates!

Hopefully, if it EVER stops raining, I'll get a chance to visit but making sure I'm armed with camera.

There's only 16 CWGC graves (I think) and I was told they're nearly all close together.
