Located in the Holy Trinity Church in PITLOCHRY is the headstone of :

(Sir) Robert Alexander WATSON-WATT , KT,CB, LLD,DSc, FRS born 1892 (Brechin Forfarshire ) - 1973

father of radar

and his wife Katherine Jane Trefusis FORBES , DBE, LLD, 1899-1971 :

Air Chief Commandant W.A.A.F ( 1939-1943)

(seems her grandmother was a Wauchope )

Date of Death: 07/01/1917
Age: 35
Regiment/Service: Royal Garrison Artillery 42 Coy.
Grave Reference: Lair No.39 (Old Part)
Cemetery: PITLOCHRY (HOLY TRINITY) CHURCHYARD
Additional Information: Son of John and Annie Ward,of Pitlochry, Perthshire.
N.B. Recent research has shown that Bombardier Ward is buried here.
