The Old Cemetery can be entered either from the New Cemetery or from a path off the main road (B703 Newbattle Road) that seperates the two burial grounds.

There are a total of 8 WWI graves in the Old Cemetery.

Newbattle Parish covers mainly mining and agricultural communities. This is a site that gives a brief insight into the Parish - http://www.newbattleatwar.com/
