SNWM: Rank: Private Regiment: King’s Own Scottish Borderers No: 3190474 Place of Birth: Roxburghshire Date of Death: 18th November 1940 Place of Death: United Kingdom The Scotsman, 23rd November 1940. ‘Deaths on Active Service’ Dickson – Killed by enemy action in November 1940, Provate John Brunton Dickson, aged 20 years, beloved youngest son of Mr and Mrs R. Dickson, 18 Castlegate, Jedburgh. Funeral from 18 Castlegate to-day (Saturday) at 2 p.m. to St. John’s Churchyard. Sadly, I was unable to locate John's grave. Edit: stone now found.
