I found this grave in a quiet part of Peebles. It is in a Private Burial Ground.

There is a monument that has plates on 4 sides. There are a lot of military people but only 2nd Lt Martin John Hay died on active service.

Rank: Second Lieutenant
Regiment/Service: Life Guards
Age: 22
Date of Death: 09/10/1941
Service No: 140502
Additional information: Son of Lt.-Col. Bache Hay and Mrs. Bache Hay, of Crookston, Peebles.
Casualty Type: Commonwealth War Dead
Cemetery: CROSS KIRK (HAYSTONE) PRIVATE BURIAL GROUND
