Luskentyre [Losgaintir] is located on the west side of South Harris, some 10 miles southwest of Tarbert near the A859, the road to Leverburgh. The village can be reached along a single-track sideroad off the A859.
There are two graveyards in Luskentyre, but only the old cemetery, in the middle of the village, contains war graves. The graveyard in the dunes, which previously featured in this post, only contains modern graves.
The old cemetery is located 1.2 km west of the start of the village, the start being the old 'pod' from Castaway 2000 (curved roof and grass on roof) which stands by the roadside at the cattlegrid. Parking is road-side only, along the cemetery wall.
The wargraves are located in the northeastern part of the cemetery; some are facing south, others east. The below picture shows the graveyard from the carriageway entrance, which can be found about 100 yards east of the cemetery; please do not take vehicles here, as it is part of a private access.
Grid reference: NG069990
