Hi
We're trying to locate the grave of my paternal grandmother who we believe was killed in air raids on the Maryhill area of Glasgow, possibly early in 1941.
This might have been the same nights as the Clydebank raids.
Any suggestions as to where we start looking? It seems there's little information available about civilian casualties.

Hello Denis,
Welcome to the Scottish War Graves Project!
Have you tried the CWGC site? I've found quite a lot of Civilian Casualties included on their database.
http://www.cwgc.org/debt_of_honour.asp
Alternatively, I've done one or two of the big Glasgow Cemeteries (Western Necropolis/Lambhill & St. Kentigern's), all in the Maryhill area, so perhaps you could post details of your paternal grandmother - name, address etc., and we can take it from there.

For civilian war dead, if you can find them online at CWGC then it will show only which list they are on and not where they are buried. However the authority that compiled the list (and possibly CWGC offline) should know where the burial was.
For example this entry http://www.cwgc.org/search/casualty_details.aspx?casualty=3160297 shows a man reported by Kirkcudbright County. He is buried in Troqueer cemetery but you won't see that from the online record.
