Don't know enough about Sudan to decide whether this lad on a family stone in Lintrathen churchyard is war dead or not. Date fits with the period immediately preceding Kitchener's final advance on Omdurman and I can't think of any other reason for young Abram to have been out there at that time. Your thoughts would be welcome... Lowson isn't one of them but it's probably worth pointing out in this thread anyway.
