Can anyone supply photos of grave of

Private David Falconer, S/9283, 1st Bn., Gordon Highlanders who died 18 July 1916 and buried Thiepval Memorial, died area Somme.

David was born 1888 Dundee UK. son of Alexander and Jessie Falconer

His brother

Private Adam Falconer, 30947, 13th Bn., Royal Scots who died aged 19 on 16 September 1916, he is buried Millencourt Communal Cemetery Extension.

Adam was born 1897 Dundee, son of Alexander and Jessie Falconer

Twocats

As you can see I've merged your two requests into one since they were for brothers.

We have very few overseas graves here, however someone may have photographs of these headstones from a trip to the battlefields.

Are they realtives of yours?

Hello Paul, thanks for that information, I live in Dundee and never knew the boys were listed on the monument as I have just discovered they belong to my family tree, regards

I may be wrong but I don't think there are any names on the memorial itself, just the People's Journal supplement that was issued at the time.

You may find the names on church or school memorials with a bit of hunting.

David & Adam are both commemorated on St. Mary Magdalene/Holy Trinity Church Memorial, Dundee
