I'm heading for Tiree (and possibly Coll as well, weather permitting) soon to go kayaking with the basking sharks and, as I'll have my camera with me, wondered if anyone knew if there were war graves/memorials on these islands that required recording.

Cemetery: KIRKAPOL BURIAL GROUND
Country: United Kingdom
Locality: Argyllshire
Historical Information: This burial ground is situated 2 miles north of Scarinish Pier, about 400 yards from the church. It contains the graves of five members of the Commonwealth Forces who died in the 1939-1945 war, three of whom are unidentified seamen of the Merchant Navy, and one grave of an unidentified member of the Commonwealth Forces of the 1914-1918 war.

Locality: Argyllshire
Historical Information: Killunaig Graveyard, Isle of Coll, adjoins Killunaig Cemetery on the north-western coastal road from Arinagour to Sorisdale. Here are buried two seamen of the British Merchant Navy, one of whom is unidentified, and a Greek Merchant Navy seaman, who all died during the 1939-1945 war.

One of the graveyards on Coll is said to be in a dangerous condition because of erosion from the sea, you might find it closed off.

Looks to be on sand dunes but accessible. Change of plan so going in July.
