Fred's mother was Mary Anne McConnell and this is the McConnell family grave.


Also, their dearly loved grandson, Lieutenant Fred Stanley, only child of Mary Ann and Henry Thomas, of Liverpool, who died of wounds at Boulogne, France, 1st December 1918, aged 25 years. Safe in the arms of Jesus

Thanks to a site map and transcriptions at

and a little person (Ann - my wife) who wouldn't give up until she had found it Very Happy

I wish I could say the same about Senwick Old Churchyard a bit down the road from here. Never did find that.
