I'm a member of the Royal Marine Association Highland Branch and am wondering if you have any RM graves in your area. I know of one in Tomnahurich in Inverness but can't remember the name. Thanks in advance

Name: ROSS, WILLIAM
Initials: W
Nationality: United Kingdom
Rank: Colour Serjeant
Regiment/Service: Royal Marines
Unit Text: Plymouth Div.
Age: 41
Date of Death: 07/04/1941
Service No: PLY.19094
Additional information: Son of William and Margaret Ross, of Inverness; husband of Olive Muriel Ross, of Dumfries.
Casualty Type: Commonwealth War Dead
Grave/Memorial Reference: Sec. H.6. Class 4. Grave 368.
Cemetery: INVERNESS (TOMNAHURICH) CEMETERY

I had a look through the Tomnahurich Cemetery thread, but I it doesn't look like 'Ghostwhisperer' found William's stone.

One way of checking graveyards/cemeteries is to go to the CWGC search page and the first box has a pull down menu - either search for casualty or search cemeteries. This would obviously mean going through every cemetery, but I can't think of another option at the moment.

Anne
