Jim Back to top PeterMoran Joined: 26 Dec 2008 Posts: 4 Posted: Tue Feb 01, 2011 11:21 pm    Post subject: 13 Mar 1942 SMITH, NEIL SHAW (967591) RAFVR - age 28 Sgt He was killed whilst flying in Whitley V, Z6975 KN-V of No 77 Sqn, which crashed near Leeming on its return from a raid to Boulogne. He is buried in Cathcart Cemetery. 29 Dec 1942 ORR, JOHN (655146) RAF - age 24 Flt Sgt He was killed whilst flying in Halifax II, DT631 KN-E of No 77 Sqn, which burst into flames and crashed on the approach to Elvington at the end of cross country training flight. He is buried in Paisley (Hawkhead) Cemetery. This is from the database produced by Malcolm Barrass.
