Just checking in and saying hi to one and all. I am involved in researching a WW2 lancaster crash near Grantham, lincs. One of the crew came from Cambusnethan. i came accross the forum while looking for information on the grave of Sgt james Milton Whitehead. The sight shows a very clear photo of his headstone which would have been difficult to obtain from here, so the project is definately fulfilling its purpose . My thanks and appriciation to all involved in an outstanding project. There must have been many who thought it could not be done, I hope other areas will take note and heart and create something similar. I will post details of this research on the site. Gunner. As you've probably realised, the site is still very much in it's infancy but it makes such a difference to know that what we set out to do is working already. Have you looked to see if Sgt. Whitehead is mentioned on any local war memorials?
