Just checking in and saying hi to one and all. I am involved in researching a WW2 lancaster crash near Grantham, lincs. One of the crew came from Cambusnethan. i came accross the forum while looking for information on the grave of Sgt james Milton Whitehead. The sight shows a very clear photo of his headstone which would have been difficult to obtain from here, so the project is definately fulfilling its purpose Very Happy Very Happy . My thanks and appriciation to all involved in an outstanding project. There must have been many who thought it could not be done, I hope other areas will take note and heart and create something similar. I will post details of this research on the site.
Gunner.

Hello Gunner,

I'm so glad to hear you found the site helpful!

As you've probably realised, the site is still very much in it's infancy but it makes such a difference to know that what we set out to do is working already. Have you looked to see if Sgt. Whitehead is mentioned on any local war memorials?
