Name: BROWN, ALEXANDER

Unit Text: 67 Group (The Highland Light Infantry)
Date of Death: 05/09/1939

Grave/Memorial Reference: Compt. D. Grave 2282.
Cemetery: GLASGOW (SANDYMOUNT) CEMETERY
This stone is not in Compt. D, it’s in Compt.W.
The only thing I can think of to explain the wrong location is that Private Alexander Brown may actually be buried in the grave that’s referred to on the above CWGC entry - but then why would the stone not have been erected there on his grave?
Compt. D and Compt. W are nowhere near each other.
(For verification purposes, both graves to the left of Pte. Brown's stone are listed correctly as Compt. W.)
