The inscription from the stone reads .......
...... "Rifleman ROBERT FENTON DAVIDSON, 5th Scottish Rifles

Nope, I can't find him either.
He has 2 MIC's, as his middle name has been wrongly listed on one of them but one shows that he died of wounds.
Looks like a possible non-commemoration. _________________ There must be a place under the sun where hearts of Olden Glory grow young ..... |

Thanks for looking Derek.
Have you tried to access SNWM of late?
For the past three or four days the search pages haven't been working. The message is "resource locked, try again later" - wonder what's going on there??

Would he be on CWGC if he died in England from something not contributable to the war?
I don't know; but I think that I know a man who does.
If I don't get an answer here, I'll ask and report back.

All the facts point to him having died of wounds so there is no reason for him not to be commemorated by the CWGC. _________________ There must be a place under the sun where hearts of Olden Glory grow young ..... |
