OS Map Ref: NX 422 513

A short distance along a minor road to the west of Kirkinner

Number of CWGC burials 23

A plot in the south-western part of the burial ground was acquired by the Royal Air Force, which had a station at Wigtown during the 1939-1945 War. The 24 war burials comprise 1 man of the Royal Navy; 12 men of the Royal Air Force, one of whom is not identified, 8 members of the Royal Canadian Air Force and 3 members of the Royal Australian Air Force.

The above from the CWGC site - the cemetery is the nearest to the wartime Baldoon airfield.

The gates to this cemetery themselves are a memorial and I will be posting this separately on the war memorials project.
