Donald MacLennan


In memory of Jessie Thomson beloved wife of Hugh MacLennan, Farmer, Springfield who died there 19th Dec 1921 aged 72 years. The said Hugh MacLennan born at Boginturie in the Parish of Kiltearn on the 20th April 1844 who died 2nd Dec 1925. Also their daughter Jessie who died 30th Sep 1942 aged ?4. Also in memory of Donald their son who joined the Australian Forces 1914, fell in action in Gallipoli 1915 aged 36 years and of Annie Jack beloved wife of William H MacLennan, Farmer, Springfield died 7th Feb 1925 aged 29 years. Also the said William Hugh MacLennan who died 21st Nov 1957 aged 74 years.

Also the above Jessie Munro who died 1st Dec 1933 aged 81 years.

Erected by Serjt. David Holm, 93rd Highlanders in memory of his beloved wife Helen Munro who departed this life on the 7th Dec 1866 in her 53rd year. And of their son David who died on the 6th June 1863 in his 6th year. Also of the above Serjt. David Holm, 93rd Highlanders. He died at Cromarty on the 15th May 1884 in his 85th year.
