British War Graves - just found out that my Grandfather's brother died in 1918, sent an email via their website to http://www.britishwargraves.co.uk/ and got a free photo by email a couple of hours later. Marvellous service and Mike McCann has agreed to put a link to our project on his site.

Another project formed from the sudden collapse of the British War Memorial Project.
It's nice to see that like the Scottish War Graves Project there is no charge for a photograph.

I agree Adam,
I sent a disc loaded with pics for the BWMP for their site, though when I requested a couple of pics via e-mail they asked for £5 donation for each pic. The cheek of it!!! Imagine if I had been a relative of those lost,as if my family wouldn`t have paid enough with the loss of a loved one.
The Scottish War Memorial is far better and like you say pics are free, I don`t mind at all sending them here.
Regards.

Dave
You've hit the nail on the head. I'm sure everyone taking the photos had the same thought in mind, that someone a long distance from the grave could see the headstone they could probably never visit.
You're not the only one on the forum who had the same experience with the BWMP you did when asking for a little bit in return for the help.
Cheers
