HE SERVED IN THE PENINSULAR CAMPAIGN AND WAS
PRINCIPAL CLERK IN THE ARTILLERY OFFICE AT HEAD QUARTERS
INTIL THE DUKE OF WELLINGTONS ARMY FINALLY QUITTED FRANCE
HE WAS PRESENT AT THE BATTLES OF
CORUNNA, OPORTO, TALAVERA, FUENTES D'ONORO, BADAJOZ, SALAMANCA, CIUDAD RODRIGO, VITTORIA, SAN SEBASTIAN, PYRENEES, ORTHEZ, TOULOUSE.
FOR WHICH HE WON THE WAR MEDAL WITH CLASPS
