In Kelton Old Churchyard, near Castle Douglas.
"Also John McGeorge his son who fell in the Charge of the Light Cavalry at Balaklava 25th Oct. 1854. Aged 25 years."

Also Lt Col Gordon at Borgue http://scottishwargraves.phpbbweb.com/viewtopic.php?t=674&highlight=brigade although he survived, he was also one of the 600.

A little bit about a realtive of his and the wounds he recieved can b found on the following website. Gordon was still alive in the early 1900s to tell his grand-neice about the Crimea and Indian Mutiny.

He was born in 1830. See here and died in 1906 and it looks like his letters covering his time in command of the 17th lancers during the Indian Mutiny are held by the National Library of Scotland
