OS Map Ref: NY 140 664

Located in the centre of Cummertrees

Number of CWGC burials 0

This is a very old churchyard with most burials dating from before 1850. The stones are difficult bordering impossible to read. I only found two of interest but closer inspection would no doubt find more.

James Chalmers Asst Surgeon RN who died on board HMS Etna on the coast of Morrocco on the 24th April 1835 aged 26 years.

died 1838

and

Edward Sholto Douglas RN
his only son died 1855
aged 22
brother and nephew of Sarah
Marchioness of Queensbury
