He was my great uncle.
My mothers' mother and aunt always talked about "Uncle Anson"
We visited the war memorial at Soissons where he is remembered.... I think we were the first to go there.
We still have his MC and war medals including the letter on his death, regimental diary etc. plus loads of photos.
He was killed in the 3rd battle of Aisne
I was really pleased that you had him listed. I visit the cemetery a couple of times a year
Thanks for what you are doing _________________ Jon Churchill |

I appreciate that your message is pretty old, but can you contact me about your Great Uncle, please?
His name is on a war memorial that I am researching in Newport, South Wales. I'd like to find out more about him, especially with regard to the Military Cross award - essentially, I'd like to find the citation if it's possible.
As a new member, I'm not able to send you a PM, but I hope that you'll be able to do so. Thank you. |
