Ghost Whisperer has found a Crimean name on a headstone.
Donald Whyte of Dores. Died Sebastapol 17/04/1855.
Can we trace his unit?
Sacred to the memory of Donald Whyte...and of his beloved wife Catherine McNaughtan ..Also to the memory of their dear children, ...Donald who fell at the Siege of Sebastobol on the 17th day of April 1855 aged 19 years...

Gents
Many thanks for looking. You may not have found Donald Whyte but you've certainly provided some cracking links.

Just a thought, he could have been in the Naval Brigade.
