In loving memory of our dear parents Margaret MacKenzie died 12th July 1940, 76 years. John MacKenzie died 17th May 1946, 88 years. Their sons Simon died in infancy. Peter killed in France 1917, 21 years. Simon died 28th June 1932 of war injuries, 34 years.

Which perhaps makes him this man. The battalion is different though.
