Sacred to the memory of Elspet McKenzie spouse of Capt. John Mackie of the 92nd Highlanders who died the 16th Nov 1832. In her the poor has lost a friend whose charity was seldom exceeded. She lived much esteemed by all who knew her in the various climates where she travelled with her husband and died deeply lamented by her family and friends. As also of her daughter Helen Mackie spouse of John McIntosh, Farmer, Logie aged 50 years, who lived an affectionate wife, a dutiful mother and left her husband with a numerous family to lament her irrecoverable loss. And also of Captain John Mackie, late of the 92nd Highlanders who died at Easter Logie on the 10th January 1849 aged 84 years. Much and justly regretted by all who knew him.
