Erected in grateful memory of Alexander Pendrith who died 14th May 1855 aged 70 and of Ann Gunn his wife who died 9th May 1867 aged 71. Also of their children The Rev John Pendrith who died 1st July 1853 aged 26. Alexander Pendrith who died 14th Aug 1844 aged 12. Donald Gunn Pendrith, RN, Surgeon & Medical Store Keeper, Royal Naval Hospital, Port Royal, Jamaica who died there 1st Nov 1867. Margaret Pendrith who died on 5th Nov 1889 aged 65 years. And Helen Pendrith who died on 26th July 1903 aged 74 years.

In loving memory of William Sommerville Robertson, Engineer, Merchany Navy, lost at sea Nov 1942 aged 30 years and his daughter Helen Sommerville Robertson who died at Gander, Newfoundland 30th May 1947 aged 27 years. Beloved wife of Anthony Holland. And his wife Janet A Higgins died 14th June 1961 aged 68 years.

In memory of Sergt. Harry Slater, RA. For 5 years Instructor of Golspie Artillery Coy. Died 3rd Dec 1898. Erected by his sorrowing widow and The Company as a token of their esteem.

Sacred to the memory of our dear father and grandfather Major James Hall Weir, Seaforth Highlanders, Culmaily, Golspie died 13th Sep 1966. Beloved husband of Helen MacKay died 12th Dec 1988 aged 90 years.

Parents: Hugh and Jane McGregor of Dunrobin Glen, Golspie.
Enlisted: 25.7.16
Notes: 10 years in Australia
His brother was killed in Lovat Scouts in Boer war
Buried: St. Sever Cemetery, Rouen, France
Memorials: Listed on Panel 151 of the Australian War Memorial, Canberra.
Not listed on the Golspie War Memorial



In memory of Alick beloved son of Hugh and Jeannie McGregor who died at Golpsie 6th Aug 1904 in his 20th year. Also of Matthew who died in France May 1918 in his 33rd year and is interred in St Sever Cemetery, Rouen. Also of Jean who died at Avoch 11th Nov in her 20th year. Also of the above Hugh McGregor who died at Dunrobin Glen 21st May 1929 in his 76th year and his widow Jeannie MacKay died 28th June 1950 in her 97th year. Also Hugh died 18th Sep 1980.

Notes: Captured at Singapore when the 8th Australian Division surrendered, Pte McKay was one of the P.O.W.s building the Death Railway between Thailand and Burma
Buried: Kanchanaburi War Cemetery, Thailand
Memorials: Listed on the Golspie War Memorial

In loving memory of Sgt James Sutherland, late 78th Seaforth Highlanders who died 8th Jan 1918. Also his sons James who died in Brieley, India. Thomas Sgt Major 8th Seaforths killed on HMS Warilda 3rd Aug 1918. Also of Mary Ann Welsh, widow of above who died 9th July 1934 aged 81 years. And their son William, Sgt Major Seaforth Highlanders died 2nd Dec 1947.

In loving memory of John S Donald, Manager, Fishermans Welcome Institute died 24th Aug 1914 aged 48 beloved husband of Ann Merry Barker. Also their younger son Daniel died 11th Jan 1933 (result of war wounds) aged 35. Also Ann Merry Barker died 7th Nov 1947 aged 88 years. Wife of above John Stewart Donald. Also their eldest daughter Marjory Barker Donald died 23rd Jan 1987 aged 90.

In memory of my beloved husband James McIntosh, Major, Seaforth Highlanders who died 3rd Feb 1968 aged 70 years. And our son Peter William who died 28th April 1940 age 15. Interred at Aldershot. Also Sarah Amelia Scott wife of James McIntosh who died 6th April 1990 aged 89 years.

Sacred to the memory of Dorothy MacBeath the beloved wife of Sergt. John MacKay late of 93rd Regt. Who died Sep 1869 aged 58 years. The said Sergt. John MacKay who died March 1901.

Adelaide Wellesly Wright born Aug 15th 1831 died Jan 29th 1898. Henry Wright born July 9th 1832 died March 16th 1906. Sidney Wright born Jan 30th 1858 died 8th Jan 1903. Major Hedley Wright, 11th Bengal Lancers died March 10th 1903 aged 43 years.
