It contains one war grave and has a number of military inscriptions, one first world war and the rest prior to 1900. According to his service documents he lied about his age on enlisting, he only served for 157 days before his death, he had at least 3 long periods in hospital and was sent to the 2nd SGA in Edinburgh with a view to discharge shortly before he died. Died: 29th of July 1918 David probably won the bar to his military medal during the battle of Buzancy in July 1918 the last major action his regiment participated in. He served in the American War of Independance and was taken prisoner at Saratoga along with General Burgoyne.
